IAS topper Tina Dabi Khan has been very busy overseeing the elections related work in Bhilwara ever since she took her first posting in the poll-bound state. She was appointed as the Bhilwara SDM last month.
The affable IAS officer has been in full swing in carrying out the election related duties including raising awareness among voters through SVEEP activities. The state goes to polls on 7 December.
Tina has now posted the video of her first media interaction, where she is seen explaining the process of rejection of nomination papers of candidates for the upcoming polls.
Tina Dabi Khan said that while 30 candidates had filed their nomination papers from her area, two were found to be ineligible and after the last date of withdrawal, only 17 candidates were left in the fray.
Taking to Instagram, Tina said that the video clip was sent to her by one of the reporters. She wrote, “Hi all. Have been really busy these days.
Election season in Rajasthan. Didn’t even get time to click a photo. A reporter sent this to me. Sharing with you all what work is like these days.”
Her response in the video shows just how quickly she’s grasped the key aspects of her job.
She explained how the Congress, the BJP, the BSP, the Shiv Sena and the AAP were the main recognised political parties that were in contention in the Rajasthan assembly elections.
The newly posted IAS officer then went on to explain the process of filing of nomination papers, their withdrawal and rejection in the event of officials finding them ineligible.
Up until now, her fans on Instagtram, more than a quarter million of them, have been interacting with her by responding to her frequently posted photos about her goings on.
Since her maiden appearance in a TEDx talk, they’ve become used to hearing her talk as well. Reacting to her latest video of a press conference, one fan wrote, “Feeling proud to see u on such huge level… R u excited for Election duty?” “Kya baat hai. Tina madam Press conference kar rahi Ho. Great,” commented another fan.
Tina had topped the IAS exams in 2016. She had later got married to Athar Aamir Khan, the 2nd ranked IAS officer from the same year.
