A suspicious person was nabbed by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials for posing as CRPF personnel at Chandni Chowk metro station on Saturday following a tip-off. On the basis of suspicion, he was immediately taken to the security room of CISF for enquiry.

During the enquiry, the man could not give any satisfactory answer or show any identity proof of being a force member. He revealed his identity as Nadeem Khan and told the officials he was presently undergoing training from CRPF Recruit Training Centre (RTC) Mohan Nagar in J&K.

Nadeem claimed that he was in town on leave for his mother’s funeral at Shamli in Uttar Pradesh. To confirm his statement, the officials contacted the CRPF control room, which then further contacted Mohan Nagar RTC. The officials were informed that no such trainee of the said name was present in their RTC.

Subsequently, Shamli police was also contacted who found that his parents are fine and are present at home. The officials also found two Aadhar cards with different DOB, addresses, father’s name and a mobile phone were recovered from his possession. Later, the suspect was handed over to the DMRC officials for further legal action in the matter.
