Protests against Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Padmavati’ continued in the state on Saturday, which included Diya Kumari, member of the erstwhile royal family of Jaipur and BJP MLA initiating a signature campaign to oppose the release of film.
Days after protesting against the film which allegedly has distorted historical facts, ex-princess and Sawai Madhopur MLA Diya Kumari started a ‘signature campaign’ at the entry gate of the Govind Dev Ji temple in the city.
“More and more people and organisations should join this campaign against the film. There is also a need to organise similar campaigns at the divisional headquarters,” she said, while reiterating her demand that Bhansali should show the movie to a forum of historians before it is released.
Princess Diya Kumari made an statement against movie Padmawati.
