Russia does not rule out joining TAPI pipeline project
As Nikolay Shulginov said, a range of issues related to the security of the pipeline passing through Afghanistan should be solved at first.
Russia does not exclude the possibility of joining the TAPI (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) gas pipeline project, Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov said in an interview with the PTV World TV Channel.
“We are not present in this project yet but we do not deny the possibility of joining the project,” the Minister said.
A range of issues related to the security of the pipeline passing through Afghanistan should be solved at first, Shulginov noted. “I do not think this will be a major challenge. I believe we are able to solve it,” he added.
