China dares to threaten Sri Lanka to stop Sri Lanka from Welcoming Dalai Lama
The government of Communist China can go to any extent to subvert even historical facts. Tibet has been an independent country with relationship with India going back to dawn of history.
However China denies Tibet’s ancient individual existence, claiming it to be a part of the mainland China. The Tibet Press report says that the legitimacy of China’s claims is based on an illegal agreement in 1951….really laughable.
The Chinese government then signed an agreement with a Tibetan person devoid of legitimate authority to represent Tibet. This Tibetan traitor urged the Chinese for the Liberation of Tibet, under his 17 Point Agreement, which he signed on May 23, 1951. By that time His Holiness Dalai Lama had escaped to India otherwise the PLA would have tortured him after capture.
So now after forcibly subjugation Tibet, China now wants to Coerce Sri Lanka into submission, which Sri Lankans are not going to permit or accept. China has been using the proverbial carrot and stick approach to stop Sri Lanka from rolling out the red carpet to welcome the Dalai Lama to the island nation, according to a report in Colombo’s Sunday Times.
According to The Sunday Times, to stop Dalai Lama’s visit, China’s Charge d’affaires in Sri Lanka, Hu Wei this week, warned that if he was welcomed then the nation will have to suffer dire consequences. China is already trying to prevent the IMF from negotiating and granting a bail out loan to Colombo.
Imagine the haughtiness of the Chinese giving their warning during an audience granted to the Chinese mission by the Malwatta Maha Nayaka at his residential temple. That Charge d’affaires should have been expelled forthwith.
The invite to the Holiness Dalai Lama was extended by a senior scholar-monk of Sri Lanka’s Amarapura Nikaya (a Sri Lankan monastic fraternity), along with a group of senior monks, when they had met the Dalai Lama at Bodhi Gaya on December 27.
‘I invited him so that His Holiness’ visit will bring blessings to Lanka,’ the monk said, as quoted by The Sunday Times.
The news of Dalai Lama’s visit alone has invited an evil Chinese curse to fall on Lanka’s head; and if she doesn’t fall in line with China’s wishes, she will be damned.
The Chinese have just forgotten that India as a friend is now there to help Sri Lanka. As a country, India had failed to save Tibet as it had been easily fooled by Chinese Panchsheel style of friendship but now no more. Not only nothing will happen to Sri Lanka but one day even Tibet will get liberated from the Communist China’s clutches.
It is understandable that a paranoid Communist China should tremble when even a distant prospect of the living incarnate of Tibet’s religious oppression visiting a foreign country, looms in view. It resurrects China’s invasion and occupation of the free mountainous Buddhist Kingdom on the ‘roof of the world’.
Further according to the Tibet Press, China had pledged to keep Tibet’s traditional and religious integrity and local ethnic groups’ local practices unhindered.
However Non-compliance with the agreement,, caused the Tibetan uprising of 1959 which was crushed and also forced the 14th Dalai Lama to flee to India with his followers. Soon the country should be getting liberated, the day is not far off.
