Sitting in France, Propagandist attacks Coca-Cola plants in Bangladesh

Ex-Hindu Pinaki Bhattacharya, who has been running vile propaganda against India for months has now targeted international beverage company Coca-Cola, where thousands of radical Muslims, including madrassa teachers and students have joined, who are openly threatening local traders in refraining from selling Coca-Cola. Meanwhile, on June 12, 2024, Pinaki published a photograph of Coke’s bottling plant in Cumilla district in Bangladesh stating – “Coca-Cola is also bottled here”. In this post, one Facebook user named Anwar Mahmud wrote: “Being an organization owned by Qadianis (Ahmadiyya), it was necessary to boycott Pran long ago, sometimes there was talk. But with the position they are in now and no other company’s good product against their product, is it possible to boycott Pran?”

Pran Group is a business conglomerate in Bangladesh producing and exporting thousands of edible products.

It may be mentioned here that, immediately after Israel began its military operations in Gaza last year, Pinaki Bhattacharya, who has been running “Boycott India” notoriety for month first began a campaign through YouTube, Meta (Facebook) and ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter) calling upon people to boycott everything manufactured by Israeli and Jewish companies. He earlier called upon youths to join jihad against Israel and Jews for “elimination of Israel from the global map”. Pinaki has been living in France as an asylum-seeker for some years.

On his Facebook post, Pinaki stated, “Jihad is the only way [to] eliminate Israel from the map of the world. All my fans and followers should join the cause”.

Although according to French law, jihadist recruitment is a punishable crime, no action has been taken against this individual. In 2014, France drafted a law aimed at stopping aspiring jihadists from travelling, which includes a ban on foreign travel for up to six months for individuals suspected of radicalization and gives the authorities the power to confiscate and invalidate their passports temporarily.

Pinaki Bhattacharya has 670k followers on his Facebook page. In addition to Facebook, Pinaki Bhattacharya has 55.2k followers on ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter) and a YouTube channel with 1.64 million subscribers. He has been using all of the social media and video-sharing platforms in spreading propaganda against Israel, Jews, India and Hindus and instigating communal riot and jihad.

Coca-Cola in France needs to immediately bring the matter to the attention of authorities concerned with the request of rejecting asylum-petition of Pinaki Bhattacharya and extradite him to Bangladesh, where he faces several cases on allegations of committing cybercrimes.

In a recently posted YouTube video, Pinaki Bhattacharya openly gave instigation to his followers to “finish” Bangladesh’s popular actor Apurba and actress Mehazabien Chowdhury for their “crimes” of working as model in Indian products and services.

Addressing Apurba, Pinaki said, “Who are you? Didn’t I ask you not to work in ads in Kolkata, you are running a campaign for ‘HoiChoi’ (an Indian OTT platform)”.

Pinaki Bhattacharya called upon his followers to block Apurba on every social media platform and take stern measures against him.

In the same video, Pinaki threatened Mehazabien Chowdhury for working as model for Indian’s product named ‘Parachute’ stating she will be stabbed if she works as model in any of the Indian products.

Such acts of threatening any individual using YouTube or other social media platforms not only goes against community standards of the respective platform, it also is tantamount to criminal offense. In Pinaki’s case, his acts are clearly crimes of the highest order.

Using French soil, Pinaki Bhattacharya has already put Apurbo and Mehazabien Chowdhury into life risk as his followers, some of whom are connected to terrorist and jihadist outfits may onwards begin hunting these popular actors. For the sake of their security, Apurba and Mehazabien need to immediately lodge complain with local police stations. At the same time, they also need to bring this matter to attention of French embassy in Dhaka.

French authorities need to immediately arrest this notorious jihadist culprit and take stern legal measures against him. At the same time, Indian OTT platform ‘HoiChoi’, manufacturer of ‘Parachute’ brand products – Marico as well as Coca-Cola need to take this matter to court by filing compensation suit against Pinaki Bhattacharya as well as YouTube.
