Kazakhstan receives BRICS partner status

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia Dauren Abayev said, that country will also continue to keep a close eye on the development of the organization

Kazakhstan has received the status of a BRICS partner country, confirmed Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia Dauren Abayev “We received the status of the BRICS partner country.

This is already a big step,” the Ambassador said.”We are ready to support all the fruitful initiatives of BRICS meeting our national interests,” Abayev noted.

“Our country will also continue keeping a close eye on development of the organization and strengthen the productive dialog,” he added.

BRICS is an important agent of building the multipolar world and developed of partnership with the association is in line with national interests of Kazakhstan, added Ambassador Dauren Abayev.

“President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev particularly stressed that BRICS can play the key role in the process of strengthening representation of middle-size powers and developing economies in the global governance structure,” the Ambassador said.

“Recognizing indispensability of the UN and universality of its Charter, the association is already making a real contribution to shaping the global order based on principles of equity and mutual respect, and serves as an important agent of building the multipolar world,” he noted.

“Therefore, development of partnership with BRICS is in our national interests,” the Ambassador stressed.

Kazakhstan sees opportunities for strengthening international stability, developing economic partnership and solving such global problems as the climate change or the water shortage in BRICS.

“Certainly, in the first instance we see an important mechanism of strengthening global stability in BRICS,” the diplomat said. “The geopolitical strain is now the main challenge and threat for the global community.

That is why efforts aimed at its de-escalation are so important,” Abayev noted.

Secondly, the opportunity of developing the economic partnership with BRICS member-nations is important, the Ambassador said.

“Thirdly, achieving sustainable development goals,” he added.
