The newly elected Prime Minister of Pakistan had initially emphasized on promoting trade, cricket and bilateral talks between India and Pakistan. He now seems to have changed his track, nothing very unusual for a Pakistani PM.
Now PM Sahib has started parroting as if on cue, the same old narrative “ Kashmir is the core issue between India and Pakistan”.
He is once again singing the same tune that the dispute should be resolved through dialogue. It shows that they want no forward movement and will blindly continue to move along the path of self destruction.
India has clearly stated that talks can only resume when Pakistan gives up state funding and sponsoring of terrorism into India.
Otherwise the only unfinished agenda of India is to get back the portion of Kashmir that was forcibly occupied by Pakistan in 1947. Sovereignty is not a debatable point as far as India is concerned.
Thus any hope of resuming productive bilateral talks and dialogue between neighbours India and Pakistan, now is back to square one.
To add fuel to fire, the Separatist Chairman of Hurriyat Forum Mirwaiz Umar Farooq along with his other separatist supporters have as usual hailed Imran Khan’s statement.
“Kashmiris welcome the statement of Imran Khan calling for a resolution to the Kashmir dispute through dialogue in view of the huge human cost being borne by the people of Kashmir,” commented Mirwaiz m the separatist.
India has already declared the Hurriyat leadership as an extremist element operating in Jammu Kashmir and has initiated measures to weed them out.
So with Pakistan supporting them, calling them freedom fighters for the rights of the people of Kashmir, ensures simply NO DIALOGUE between the two Countries.
The Kashmir issue is also given deliberate emotional support from various religious quarters in Pakistan.
In fact anyone who does not support the Kashmir dispute as the top most agenda point is widely criticized and considered an enemy of Pakistan.
Now India is moving ahead to ensure that plea for help from our Baloch friends do not go un answered.
Pakistani leaders of all hue can keep claiming freedom for Kashmir, an issue that has been pending for so long that serious questions can be raised over the very intention of the leaders. Has Pakistan the capability to liberate Kashmir ?
