American Commissions Growing Too Big For Their Boots Need To Be Admonished Harshly

It seems that United States of America refuses to learn from past mistakes. In 1971 Nixon thought that he could coerce India by sending a flotilla ex its 7th Fleet including a nuclear powered and nuclear armed aircraft carrier. What did it achieve ? Nix.

In 1998 their President and administration again went berserk and imposed toughest of the sanctions on India for going ahead with the nuclear tests. Again, what did they achieve ? Nothing much except created a few hiccups to our economic growth. Today they are begging India to align with them to protect them from the Chinese onslaught.
India has already given a shut up call to the American Senate, Congress and the Administration over their pompous CAATSA bill and gone ahead with procurement of S400 Missile Systems and other weapons and equipment from Russia as desired by the Indian Forces.

However it seems that Americans do not give up easily. This time their Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) has recommended sanctions against Indian Home Minister Amit Shah and other top Indian leaders after the New Delhi passed a controversial citizenship bill. Imagine a country where Sikhs and Hindus have been attacked left and right trying to censor India on Religious Freedom. Is this Commission even aware of the fact that so many NGOs financed by American money had been working in India to promote religious conversions and so now have been banned or their fundings totally blocked by India.

This US Commission with highly dubious credentials states “The USCIRF is deeply troubled by the passage of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill (CAB), originally introduced by Home Minister Amit Shah, in the Lok Sabha (the lower house of the Indian Parliament) given the religion criterion in the bill. The CAB will now move to the Rajya Sabha (Indian Parliament’s Upper House). If the CAB passes in both houses of parliament, the United States government should consider sanctions against the Home Minister and other principal leadership,” says USCIRF in its statement.

“The CAB enshrines a pathway to citizenship for immigrants that specifically excludes Muslims, setting a legitimate foundation for citizenship based on religion. The CAB is a dangerous turn in the wrong direction; it runs counter to India’s rich history of secular pluralism and the Indian Constitution, which guarantees equality before the law regardless of faith.”

USCIRF also expressed fear that the Indian government has created a religious test for Indian citizenship that would strip citizenship from millions of Muslims. The statement continues, “In conjunction with the ongoing National Register of Citizens (NRC) process in Assam and nationwide NRC that the [Indian] Home Minister seeks to propose.”

Just by making such statements and recommending such sanctions, USA is committing the act of attacking the Sovereignty of India. No one can dictate to the Home Minister of India. Also there is no question that Indian Parliament can be dictated by any Senate or Congress or whatsoever of any country on this earth. It was the Indian Parliament which passed the Citizenship Bill and how dare any other country with a few crores population impose any kind of sanction or censure on the Indian Lok sabha representing 125 crores Indians.

The bill which offers citizenship to non-Muslim minorities from three neighbouring Muslim countries i.e. Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh is totally a Sovereign affair of India and we will not tolerate any interference frim USA or any body else. In case the Americans even want to raise any discussion on the subject then as a pre condition they must permit everyone who wants to enter through the US Mexican border to enter and live in USA as long as they want.
