Azerbaijan now realizes that India will defend its interests no matter what
Azerbaijan blatantly sided with Pakistan on the issue of Jammu & Kashmir an integral part of India, and continues to do so. Now the Govt of Azerbaijan and its media has gone further ahead by attending and openly supporting an anti India event held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Baku.
The above event has been dedicated to the “unilateral “ cancellation of the special autonomy status of Jammu and Kashmir by India. It also talked about the blockade of the “historical territories” of Pakistan occupied by India – Jammu and Kashmir. Ambassador Bilal Hayee emphasized the special support of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

President Ilham Aliyev, the government and the people of Azerbaijan always openly express their strong support for Pakistan. When the Prime Minister of Pakistan visited Azerbaijan in June, President Ilham Aliyev once again expressed the support of the Azerbaijani government to Pakistan.”
Ambassador Bilal Hayee added that the issue of Jammu and Kashmir has been on the agenda of the UN for a long time. As per him the unilateral abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A of the Constitution of India ( so he wants that everytime Indian Parliament passes any law, it must consult Pakistan !!!!!! ).
He also added that this has caused problems for the region ie Pakistan …..yes it certainly has because now people in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir have started demanding merger with India. Also India has made it abundantly clear that it intends to take back POK by using force if required.
The above certainly amounts to direct interferenceby Azerbaijan into the internal affairs of India and now they should be ready for a pay back.
The Pakistani diplomat also talked about India’s relations with Armenia, and is “ quite surprised “ that could exacerbate the conflict in the South Caucasus. Certainly this will thwart any attempt by Azerbaijan to capture any Armenian territory.
Both Ajerbaijan and Pakistan are acting “surprised” because India is supplying weapons to Armenia. it’s a purely bilateral issue between two countries and India is providing weapons to Armenia because it is a close friend asking for help. Also certainly because Pakistan is cooperating and supporting Azerbaijan in its attack on Armenia.
Thus there is direct analogy between what Pakistan is doing for Azerbaijan defence and what India is doing for Armenia. No one should be surprised by this Indian action and India is nothing to apologize to any one for this. India is now ready to defend uts interests ….the Worldshould know.
We Indians can only laugh at the Bilal Hayee when very “innocently” he comments “Pakistan’s cooperation with Azerbaijan is for increasing defence capabilities, but not to attack or snatch any other country’s territories, whereas what India is doing for Armenia supplying weapons, actually this kind of strategy will prolong the conflict and complicate all things.
Because we understand that Armenia still not abiding by the international law and the resolutions which call that Garabagh is Azerbaijan’s sovereign territory. So there is no correlation between two situations. We are concerned about India’s supply of weapon to Armenia which aims to aggravate the situation in the South Caucasus.
Further, the ambassador spoke about the role of Pakistan in trade relations against the backdrop of the negative impact of relations between India and Armenia. Ambassador Hayee noted that serious steps have been taken recently in the field of developing the trade relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
At the same time Hayee hopes against hope that “ I do not think that the current processes will cause any damage to the trade relations between Azerbaijan and India.”
He further added that regardless of the above, Pakistan can always fully provide Azerbaijan in the field of exports, especially in the export of rice and other products. Besides trade, the issue of cooperation in all fields is on the agenda between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, and both sides are taking important steps in this regard. We hope that in the near future, along with trade, cooperation between the two countries will be developed in travel, tourism, agriculture and other fields.
