Pakistan’s treatment of the family of Kulbhushan Jadhav, which includes subjecting his mother and wife to a humiliating strip search and ‘stealing’ away of the wife’s slippers, has caused much outrage back home in India.
Not only did the Pakistani government arranged a “series of insults” for the Jadhav family, it also ensured that the mother and son duo who were meeting 22 months after Pakistan arrested Jadhav on charges of espionage, were separated by a thick glass wall.

And as if this was not enough, their meeting in Islamabad was followed by harassment by the media, who heckled and asked Jadhav’s mother and wife insensitive questions.
If reports are to be believed, Pakistan’ s Foreign Affairs Ministry (MOFA), even reportedly sent a thank you note to the journalists for a “job well done”.
Meanwhile, Times Now’s Executive Editor Vivek Narayan also spoke to Hassan Bilal Zaidi, editor of The Dawn, who confirmed that he had indeed seen the thank you notes doing the round.
On Monday, Jadhav’s mother Avanti and wife Chentankul met with him for 40 minutes but interacted through a glass panel and intercom. Family sources have told Times Now exclusively that neither did Jadhav look normal nor did he speak normally. They fear he was either drugged, coerced or brainwashed.

India has condemned Pakistan’s “choreographed” meeting between Kulbhushan Jadhav and his mother and wife.
Saying that the meeting “lacked any credibility”, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said that the meeting breached the agreement with the Indian government regarding access to Jadhav’s kin.
