China Claims Military Super Power Status But Worried About Dalai Lama At The Same Time

China keeps shouting to the World from roof top that it is a Super Power and can take on USA and that India is no match with respect to China. However it still keeps shivering in fear of a fragile old Man, who is a Tibetan National staying in India since last 59 years because his country is under occupation.

Recently in an “open-door” ( propaganda ) discussion at the 13th National People’s Congress, Communist Party of China (CPC), the SHIVERING was on full display when the CPC came down heavily on His Holiness the Dalai Lama. According to Hong Kong-based English daily South China Morning Post “The Tibetan people have more affection for the government. The Dalai Lama has not done a ‘single good thing’ for Tibet since he left.” The paper also quoted Go Khok, deputy Party chief and mayor of Lhasa, as saying “maintaining stability would be a key task for the city government this year, which marks the 60th anniversary of the democratic reform in Tibet.”

Since the forcible occupation of Tibet in 1959, Tibet has been subjected to repression and deprivation. The Chinese government has not only enslaved the entire region but also fully militarized it, knowing that one day the Tibetan will be surely up rise to gain independence from this forced slavery. All achievements claimed by the Chinese dominated regional government in Tibet today in the field of transportation are oriented towards quick mobilization of the Chinese military to quell any Tibetan up rising or to face the Tibetan freedom fighters who may descend from neighbouring areas. Health care, education and improving people’s living standard are at dismal low which can hardly be imagined by outsiders. The Xinhua News Agency may tout official figures regarding Tibet’s GDP growth by 9.1 percent in 2018,as “the nation’s fastest-growing regions.” But ground reality remains with over 80 percent Tibetans remain below the poverty line. A deliberate action under taken by the Communist regime.

Tibet being an occupied country has a huge development deficit compared with provinces and regions of China, especially the coastal ones. Compared to 60 years ago, there has been hardly any progress made.Tibetans are living an oppressed life and chafing to fight for their freedom. The Communists are now going to deprive them of their own language and religion too. The Chinese government has played a vital role in the remarkable enslavement of Tibet.

However China knows that one day it will face a major security challenge from Tibetans living in exile in India and the rest of the World. They will return one day to fight and reclaim their land. The Government of Tibet is fully functional at Dharamshala, though in Exile.

His Holiness, the Dalai Lama has kept the Tibetans united and has been working for the good of Tibet and the Tibetan people ever since he left Lhasa in 1959. In fact, he uses Bhuddhism to spread the message of Peace to the entire World. Tibetan Buddhism cherishes life, preaching against harm to living beings including plants and animals. Hope the Chinese leadership learn something from this.

Tibetan Buddhism regards the Dalai Lama as a reincarnation of Avalokiteshvara, the bodhisattva of infinite compassion and mercy.

Recently a monk immolated himself as a mark of protest against the Chinese Government atrocities. However the Chinese authorities as usual just turned a blind eye to the brutal tragedy, which took place on incitement by the local Chinese authorities. This proves that the advocacy of the Communist leader regarding progress did not come about as a convergence of values, but was an attempt to suppress the Tibetans.

With political goals in mind, the Chinese government just wants to eradicate the Tibet question by eradicating their religion, language and social values. The Chinese Communists thus will continue to keep attacking Dalai Lama in every way possible.

Chinese are a worried lot because they can see the rising influence of the Dalai Lama in the West. As China becomes increasingly entangled with its various neighbours, a growing number of Western and Asian countries may start to encourage the Tibetans to throw the yoke of Chinese occupation.
