China’s coal imports up 70% to 60.64 mln tons : Means Increased Pollution
In 2022, China cut coal imports by 9.2% to 293.4 mln tons
China’s coal imports amounted to 60.64 mln tons in January-February, up by 70.8% in annual terms, the General Administration of Customs of China reported on Tuesday.
In value terms, coal imports rose by 39.4% in the reporting period to $8.28 bln, according to figures released on the website of the customs service.
