Crazy Katzu Rantings Once Again On Kashmir
Imagine Crazy Katzu was once upon a time a Judge of the Supreme Court of India. The way he gives his opinion on National Security and National polity, one starts wondering.
He wants to speak the truth, and thinks that time has come and it is he who will bell the cat and try his best (unknowingly we hope) to give a solid advantage to Pakistan.
No one is questioning his knowledge of, though The Supreme Court on 17 October 2016 had summoned this former judge for insinuating that the top court had “grievously erred” by not imposing death penalty on Govindachamy in the Soumya rape-murder case. The top court had asked Katju to explain how and where it went wrong in not imposing death sentence on Govindachamy.
However, he surely seems to have no knowledge of military Science, geopolitics and Grand Strategy. Just because his grandfather or some one had been a Kashmiri Pandit once upon a time, he thinks that he is an expert on Kashmir.
He thinks that Kashmir will soon become what Vietnam was for the French and the Americans, Afghanistan for the Russians, and Spain for Napoleon. Why ? because Imran Khan and the Hafeez gang from across the LOC says so ?
Katzu had also been the Chairperson of Press Council of India and among other books, has even written a book on Global Economics. Now gone completely crazy, he must have forgotten that Kashmir cannot be a viable country due to sheer geography and economics.
Naturally, as an Indian state, it will not be permited to be captured by Pakistan nor ever be handed over to Pakistan. Therefore steps have been taken by the Government to firmly integrated J&K into the Indian Union.
Katzu on the other hand thinks that those who are today gloating over their ‘great victory’ of abolishing Article 370 will soon wake up to a nightmare once body bags start coming back in large numbers from Kashmir, like what the Americans saw returning from Vietnam.
This chap seems to think that Pakistan Army and the terrorists outfits supported by them are super fighters. He must be having the same opinion about the Indian Army as the Pakistanis had prior to 1971 war.
He thinks that Internet and mobiles are today a necessity, not a luxury. Depriving a person of these for even one day can make one miserable, so one can imagine the plight of people going without them for almost two months. Added to this are the curfews and other restrictions.
How come while he was a Supreme Court Judge, he did not permit these things in Tihar or in every jail of India. He should have also ordered their distribution to all the terrorists and separatists operating in Kashmir.
He forgets that these deprivations have been imposed to immobilize the terrorists and separatists and are of temporary nature …..for the public it is just a necessary bitter dose of medicine.
Even the Army, Central Security Forces and the State Police deployed for hunting down the terrorists and providing security to the masses are facing the same deprivations.
He thinks that removal of the restrictions in Kashmir will lead to popular protests which will engulf the whole valley.
“Continue them, and the pot will boil until it explodes. As is said in Hindi, the situation is such that ‘na nigalte bane, na ugalte bane’—one can neither swallow it, nor vomit it.”
Well very soon the elections of Panchayat Pradhans in Kashmir are going to clean the cow webs in Katzu’s brain.
The chap who has probably never even set a foot in Kashmir is pontificating that “the truth is that due to the ill-conceived and short-sighted policies of the central governments towards Kashmir for decades, and particularly after the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, almost the entire population of Kashmir is today totally alienated and bitterly hostile to India. Consequently, a full-blown insurgency, like that in Vietnam, is bound to emerge soon, and then body bags will start coming back. “
Mr Katzu, the Indian Army is going to hunt down all terrorists like mad dogs and you will see their bodies being returned to Hafeez in bags. You need not worry about the Indian Army. They will defend the nation in spite of people like you.
The Indian Army can fight any army, it can and will also weed out all the terrorists and separatists terrorizing the masses in the valley. Pakistan failed miserably to create a situation where large-scale guerrilla war emerged in the valley either in 1947 or 1965 or 1990.
The advantage of surprise, using hit-and-run tactics, and deciding the place, time and duration of the attack and also of their swift withdrawal of the terrorists is now over.
A determined India will go and hunt them down even if they go and hide in Pakistan. Now either Pakistan stops supporting terrorism or it should be prepared to get eradicated itself.
Katzu should know that terrorism is a cruel philosophy which has no place in this world and needs to be crushed. These terrorists have heaped enough misery on the people of Kashmir. Now their days are numbered.
