EPFO changed the rules pensioners will now be able to submit life certificates any month.

The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has made a big change in its rules regarding the life certificate of pensioners, now the rules for submitting life certificate in the month of November every year have changed. Under the new rule, now any pensioner can submit his digital life certificate in any month of the year and once deposited it will be valid for one year.

The pensioner will have to submit his life certificate again in the same month again next year. According to a news from NEWS 18, the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, Yashovardhan Srivastava, while giving information about this, said that the new system will be applicable for pensioners receiving pension under the Employee Pension Scheme 1995 (Employee Pension Scheme).

Shrivastava ji further stated that pensioners had to submit their life certificates in the last two months of the first year. This new system will save pensioners from inconvenience due to heavy congestion during November and December. Now for the pensioner to continue his pension, the digital certificate will have to be presented the same month next year.

Therefore, pensioners will no longer have to face congestion. This facility is available from State Bank of India, Punjab Nation Bank, Axis Bank, Collective Service Center, Lok Mitra Kendra (CSC), EPFO Regional Office Shimla, Baddi, Nahan, Palampur and Kullu from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5.30 pm Available up to Apart from this, pensioners can update their digital life certificate by downloading the life proof software on the Umang app or computer. Apart from this, pensioners can update their life certificate along with their PPO number, Aadhar card, bank account number and mobile number on any working day in any of the above offices.
