Establishment of two Counties in occupied Ladakh should be reciprocated similarly

China has recently established two new counties in the Hotan prefecture. As per China they are part of the Xinjiang region.

However the region of Aksai Chin the Indian territory illegally occupied by China has been made part of these Countries.

This development cannot not be taken lightly and called for a calibrated response from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

A kind of serious planned action is required in light of China’s territorial ambitions. Such actions by China reflect its ongoing attempts to assert control over areas, including parts of Ladakh, which is Indian territory. There is a need for a decisive stance against this foreign encroachments.

The situation demands immediate attention and a strategic response to safeguard India’s territorial integrity. The military response is going on properly and there may be need to upgrade it further by reorienting and deploying the entire 14 Corps on the LAC with Tibet.

A new 18 Corps may be created to look after the LAC with Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, Gilgit and Baltistan.

On diplomatic front, India must take immediate steps to upgrade its diplomatic relationship with Taiwan to full embassy level.

Similarly full diplomatic relationship must be established with the Tibet Government in Exile.
