‘Ice Cream hai ya sabzi:’ Amul’s newly launched ‘Haldi Ice Cream’ leaves a weird taste in netizens’ mouth

Amul’s Haldi ice cream received mixed reactions from netizens.

As a part of its immunity-boosting range, Amul launched a number of products made out of ingredients known to be good for our health and immunity.

Recently, Amul came up with a range of products that were made out of immunity-boosting ingredients such as ginger, tulsi (Basil), Haldi ( Turmeric), etc. Now, it has added yet another item into the list.

The company launched ‘Haldi ice cream’ as an addition to the ever-growing range, owing to its need due to the COVID-19 scare.

It posted the announcement on its Twitter page. However, that is not the only ingredient in there. The tweet says that it will also have milk, honey, pepper, dates, almond and cashew.

Apart from that, the company is set to launch two more ice creams in Ginger and Tulsi flavour.

The internet has witnessed a fair range of bizarre flavour combinations in classic food items. With the novel coronavirus around us, a lot of companies decided to hop on to the ‘immunity’ bandwagon and come up with items like ‘Chyawanprash ice cream’ that could appeal to the masses during such times.

While the prospect of milk and turmeric is a tasty one, netizens are not exactly sold by the idea of having this particular condiment as an ice-cream flavour.

Needless to say, many of them expressed their discontentment by poking fun onto the recently launched flavour. Here are some of the reactions:
