The Pakistan Supreme Court in a recent order has unilaterally extended its jurisdiction over GILGIT Baltistan, a part of India under illegal occupation of Pakistan since 1948. The dubious Court has also asked the federal government in Pakistan to promulgate a new law within a fortnight to grant more rights, including fundamental human rights, to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

The above orders of the sham court of Pakistan are just attempts by Pakistan to bring cosmetic change in these occupied territories and to camouflage grave human rights violations, exploitation and sufferings of the people living there.

Reacting to Paki action India on Friday summoned the deputy high commissioner of Pakistan and lodged a strong protest on a recent order of Pakistan Supreme Court extending its jurisdiction over Gilgit-Baltistan. The Pakistani official was conveyed that the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir, which also includes the so-called ‘Gilgit-Baltistan’, “has been, is and shall remain an integral part of India”.

Pakistan was also asked to immediately vacate all areas under its illegal occupation.

“Pakistan government or judiciary have no locus standi on territories illegally and forcibly occupied by it. Any action to alter the status of these occupied territories by Pakistan has no legal basis whatsoever,” the MEA said in a statement.

Actually People of India do not understand as to why the Indian Government is wasting time in talking with the Pakis, we must take back our territory which they illegally occupied in 1948 and the Indian Army could not take it back courtly Pandit Nehru’s appeal to UN which led to a cease fire. Pakis have not vacated the area in spite of UN resolution on the subject.

However pending our military action to get back our territory, Givt if India must initiate the following actions forthwith:

• Nominate 12 members to the vacant seats in J& K Assembly as allotted to GILGIT Baltistan area. People nominated should be from among those living in exile in India or abroad.
• Similarly add two seats in LokSabha for GILGIT and Baltistan
• Reserve and allot a certain number of seats with scholarship in Jammu University /IIT Jammu / IIM Jammu/ JNU for students from GILGIT Baltistan
• Finally pass a resolution in the Parliament that India no more accepts the Radcliffe Line drawn by a scheming British Government
