India sees Russia as its long-time and reliable partner in the defence sphere, said Shri Rajnath Singh, Raksha Mantri.

“Russia is a long-time reliable partner,” he said ahead of the Aero India 2025 international show that opens on Monday.”

After corporatization of ordnance factories, our defence public sector companies are producing some of the Russian designed (Sukhoi 30 and T90) weapons,” he noted.

The corporatization of India’s defence sector took place in 2021 when seven public sector enterprises were set up under the Indian defence ministry.

On Monday, Singh will open the Aero India 2025 international show, which has been held at the Yelahanka Airbase in southern India since 1996.

Russia is among the leading exhibitors at the show. This year, a Russian fifth generation Su-57 fighter jet will perform display flights.
