India Sends Maroon Doctors And Relief Material laden Warships For Helping Tsunami-Hit Indonesia

The famed Maroon Doctors of the Indian Army have landed in Indonesia to provide medical assistance to the Tsunami hit people of our dear friend Indonesia . These medical experts are the same people who had been the first to land in earthquake stricken Nepal .

Rest of the world medical aid including those from British and American army had then built upon the 60 Parachute Medical Company of the Indian Army.

Similarly the Indian Navy on Monday diverted three of its ships that were deployed in Southeast Asia to tsunami-hit Indonesia for humanitarian assistance.

A high-intensity earthquake in Indonesia last week led to a tsunami that has claimed at least 844 lives so far, displaced some 59,000 people am caused widespread destruction.

Following the disaster, the Navy of the Indian Ocean decided to deploy INS Tir, Sujata and Shardul to Indonesia. These ships, on deployment to Singapore, were diverted to Palu, Indonesia, said the Navy spokesperson.

“Ships being sailed out first light tomorrow,” it added.
