Indian Must Send A Parliamentary Team To visit Scotland And Northern Ireland For First-Hand assessment of situation

Dated : 16 Jan 2021 (IST)

The United Kingdom, though now not so united, even after being expelled by the European Union has not stopped feeling imperial. This rump of a country thinking that the british raj is still going strong has the temerity to interfere in the internal affairs of India.

It is simply not resisting from undermining the Unity and integrity of India. It has called on India to lift all restrictions in Kashmir and also allow a team from its High Commission in Delhi to visit the Valley for a first-hand assessment of the situation.

This statement has not been made by any MP in the opposition but by a Cabinet Minister of British Government itself, the Secretary of State for Justice Robert Buckland. He made this statement while replying to a debate on the “political situation in Kashmir” in the Westminster Hall by UK MPs.

The members of the so called British Parliament who should confine themselves to London’s municipal problems, daily murders and loot, fugitives and bank looters seeking asylum and other such things, instead debated and discussed “Persecution of Muslims, Christians and Minority Groups in India”.
Last week, these self styled Robinhoods of UK had lobbied for repeal of India’s farm laws Passed By A Parliament representing a population of 130 crores.

Thisnaturally elicited a strong reaction from the Indian High Commission in London. The minister as usual also made a false claim that their Boris Johnson had been in touch with his counterparts from India and Pakistan to keep their communications open and manage regional tensions. As if the Indian Prime Minister has time for such people.

“We urge India and Pakistan to exercise restraint, maintain ceasefire on the LoC and to improve communications. We welcome India’s commitment to social and economic development of Kashmir and seek further details of their plans,” said Buckland.

“We continue to talk frankly to India about our human rights concerns and call for all remaining restrictions to be lifted as soon as possible.”

The minister’s disclosure that Johnson had been talking to PMs Modi and Imran Khan came hours after Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla disapproved of countries taking up matters in other nations.

Rather Shri Om Biral should nominate an Indian Parliamentary Team to go and visit Scotland and Northern Ireland and seek first hand information from the people Whether they wish continue to remain part of UK or become member countries of European Union. India will support their independence if required.

UK must also be given a firm date to vacate all British occupied islands and territories within the Indian Ocean Region.
