Indians Will Now Reject Chinese Goods Totally
The China cannot carry on with their nefarious activities of grabbing Indian territory and helping the Pakistani terrorist State and at the same time try and increase their exports to India.
Once the Chinese duplicity got exposed in Ladakh, then no wonder there has been a huge rise in anti China sentiments among the Indian masses. Now the Indians have collectively decided to fight at their level and teach a lesson to China.
Chinese think that their day to day products dumped in India are irresistible and cannot be replaced by Indian goods, at the same rates. Therefore the calls to boycott Chinese products are likely to fail as these items have become pervasive in Indian daily life.
Sonam Wangchuk, whose work inspired Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 3 Idiots, posted a video online a days ago, asking the Indians to boycott all Chinese goods, from smartphones to down to apps.
An app named “Remove China Apps,” which is reportedly able to delete Chinese-developed apps from Indians’ smartphones, went viral since its launch in the Google Play Store on May 17. Google has now suspended it, again to its own peril.
The border tensions between China and India are now being taken very seriously by the common people of India. Both the governments may be taking a cautious attitude to ensure that things do not go out of hand and flare into a shooting war. However the people of India and the Indian media have not taken kindly to these land grabbing activities of the Chinese. Now already a demand of free Tibet is rising. The atrocities heaped on the people of Tibet and the capture of their country is now well known to most of the Indians. The same action if the Chinese will not be tolerated in Ladakh.
Though a meeting between Chinese and Indian military officers, led by top Operational kevel Corps Commander on the Indian side and Army Commander on the Chinese side, was held on Saturday, has injected hopes of easing the border tensions, things will not remain rhe same on the ecinomic front. Indian 14 Corps Commander Lieutenant General Harinder Singh and China’s Southern Xinjiang Military District chief attend the meeting.
Tge Chinese economic experts have already noted the “remove made-in-China products campaign” in India and are now a worried lot. This determination of the Indian people will add severe burden for the dwindling Chinese exports post Wuhan Epidemic. Now even the most cost-efficient Chinese products are being looked at disdain and suspicion all over the world, not to talk of India alone.
Though this is not the first time that Indians have threatened to boycott Chinese products, though this time things are more serious and at the level of similar SWADESHI move against Great Britain in 1942. This time Indians are angry at the Chinese duplicity in spreading the Wuhan Virus and then carrying out land grabbing in Ladakh.
As it is, The government of India now aims to boost India’s manufacturing sector, which accounts for only 16 percent of India’s GDP. So now a determined India is going to go for own Indian products and shun foreign products, no matter how good they are and how cheap they are. As it us Chinese products are equated with trash in India.
As per data available the Chinese smartphones brands which had a market share of about 72 percent in India, dominating every price segment, are already crashing down drastically. Traders dealing with Chinese goods have burned their fingers badly.
Shares of Chinese smart TVs which accounted for nearly 45 percent of the local market, are now down by nearly 20 percent and facing further slide.
