Haling from Harraipur village in Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh, Noorul Hasan has struggled with economic conditions and has established himself in the absence of resources in today’s time.
Hasan, a fourth-grade employee’s son has passed the IAS examination in 2015 without any coaching. He is currently working in the Indian Police Service, IPS and is presently posted in Maharashtra as ASP.
Noorul Hasan born in a small village in Uttar Pradesh completed his initial education from their Harraipur village itself. His family comprised of his father, a farmer by profession, his mother, a homemaker, and two younger brothers. Hasan, being the eldest among his siblings grew up in extreme poverty had the pressure and upbringing of his younger brothers on him.
In Class 10, he topped from his school, Block’s Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School, Amaria by scoring 67 percent. When his father got his job in the fourth grade, the family shifted to Bareilly, UP.
From Bareilly, he completed his Class 12 with 75 percent marks from Manoharlal Bhushan College. In Bareilly also he lived in a slum and despite hard situations, he never thought of quitting his studies.
After his Class 12, Hasan was selected for Btech degree in AMU, Aligarh, but did not have money to pay the fees. It was after his father sold one-acre land, he could pay his fees and complete his studies. He got placed in a company in Gurugram soon after his degree. But still, it was difficult for him to meet the basic needs of the house with his salary. It was then when he appeared for an examination conducted by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and after qualifying in the exam, he was appointed as a scientist and posted in Tarapur, Mumbai.
While he was posted at Narora Atomic Power Station, UP, Noorul Hasan cracked UPSC Civil Services Exam. While talking with Times Now, he said, “I am fond of playing and reading. I used to carry books while going to the fields in the village. I started reading the newspaper from 7 to 8 years of age. At times when there was no money to buy newspapers, I would go to the hotels to read it. Joginder Singh’s articles have inspired my life.
For aspirants preparing for UPSC Civil Services exam, Noorul Hasan said “Do not bash poverty. Prepare with whatever resources you have.
Just do not compromise with your hard work and passion. For Muslim youth, he said that India is a great country and to working for the progress of the country is essential. Work for it.
Presently, Noorul Hasan runs a Youtube channel (www.youtube.com/c/freecademy) to help poor children on which they provide free coaching, guidance, and guidance to the students with the help of top IAS, IPS, IFS IRS officers.
