Just before Diwali, ISRO demonstrated its mettle to all in general and NASA in particular by launching 36 communication satellites into space by using one launch rocket. This was the result of negotiation by the commercial wing of ISRO New Space India Limited – NSIL and the United Kingdom-based One Web. The British Company was not only convinced of the prowess of ISRO but realized that the cost would be many times cheaper than what would be charged by NASA or others.
The first launch has been so flawless that project would soon be in its next phase for the launch of another 36 broadband satellites. India has thus emerged in the global commercial market with a bang as the cheapest and the most reliable with this latest launch of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation),

The PM himself has made comments in reference to the ISRO’s success with Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) project and the launch of GSLV-D5, powered by a cryogenic engine, about 10 years ago. This was after the space agency had struggled with the cryogenic technology for decades, due to US sanctions and the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR).
However by the time the US Congress member reached the White House to live as the President of USA, even ISRO ‘s Space Launch Vehicle grew up into ASLV and then matured into PSLV. The next generation was born as the GSLV which grew up to GSLVD5 and now has matured into Launch Vehicle Mk3.
All this while, starting with that wretched creature Nixon, the USA was wooing China and trying to play ping pong with it. For the USA India was just a land of probably elephants.
