Kanika Kapoor to be interrogated by Lucknow police after 14-day home-quarantine ends
Kanika Kapoor returned home this week after undergoing treatment for Covid-19 and seems like controversy refuses to leave her alone.
The popular singer was facing an FIR which was filed by Lucknow’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Narendra Kumar Agarwal, at the Sarojini Nagar Police Station.
Reports suggest that she will now be interrogated by the Lucknow police. However the questioned will only take place after her home-quarantine ends, after 14 days.
Dinesh Kumar Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police Central, Lucknow had told BT, “”On the basis of the CMO’s complaint, an FIR was lodged against Kapoor on charges of negligently committing an act likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life, a malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life, and disobeying an order duly promulgated by a public servant.”
According to Lucknow Police, two more FIRs were registered against Kanika Kapoor for negligence, one each at the Hazratganj Police Station and at the Gomti Nagar Police Station.
Kanika had tested positive for Covid-19 five times but on Sunday her result came negative and the singer was discharged from SPGPIMS. She is staying with her parents at their residence in Mahanagar, Lucknow.
