Kareena Kapoor Khan to be seen as a Police Officer in Hindi Medium’s sequel opposite Irrfan Khan?
After much speculation, it is being said that Kareena Kapoor Khan is on board in Hindi Medium’s sequel alongside, Irrfan Khan.
Now, reports are coming in that for the first time in 19 years, Kareena will be seen as a cop in Hindi Medium’s sequel.
If there is one movie’s sequel that has been in the news since the time it has been announced, then one name comes to mind and it is Hindi Medium 2.
The satire based on the education system for kids was among the most loved films of 2017 and starred Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar in the lead roles.
From quite some time, reports have been coming in about the sequel of the film and the leading lady roped in is apparently is Kareena Kapoor Khan.
A while back Pinkvilla had exclusively reported that Kareena was approached for Hindi Medium’s sequel, and now, it is believed that she is on board.
Amidst this, another report by Mid-Day stated that Kareena will be seen as a cop in Hindi Medium’s sequel. Yes, you read it right! For the first time in her 19-year-old career, Kareena will be seen as a Police Officer in the satire based on the education system.
As per the report, Kareena is not only game for the role but is extremely excited to be working on the film. Last night, Pinkvilla also exclusively reported that Kareena will shoot for Irrfan Khan starrer Hindi Medium’s sequel before Karan Johar’s Takht.
As per Mid-Day, “While the film kicks off in April, Kareena will join the unit only by May-end during the London schedule. She will be seen as a cop in the satire.
While she loved the script, Kareena was just as excited to play a police officer for the first time in her 19-year-long career. She intends to wrap up the sequel by November, in time to begin shooting for Karan Johar’s period drama Takht.”
Well, now, this is one collaboration between Kareena Kapoor Khan and Irrfan Khan that everyone is looking forward to.
Also, as per reports, Hindi Medium’s sequel will be titled English Medium and will be set in the US. The story will be of Irrfan Khan’s daughter who will be heading to the US for education.
Irrfan Khan is also back after his treatment of his neuroendocrine tumour and intends to start shooting on the film soon. Hindi Medium’s sequel is being helmed by Homi Adajania and will be produced by Dinesh Vijan.
