A magnitude 5.4 earthquake was registered on the Philippine island of Mindanao, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported Monday.
According to the report, the epicentre was located 23 km away from the city of Compostela, population 42,000. The hypocentre was 10 km deep.
No injuries or damage have been reported.
A magnitude 5.5 earthquake rocked southern Peru on Sunday, according to the Geophysics Institute of Peru.
According to the institute, the epicentre was located at a depth of 52 kilometers some 18 kilometers east of the Atico municipality with a population of around 4,000. No casualties or damage were reported. No tsunami warning was issued.
