Medal To PLA Soldier Who Died In Galwan Valley To Mark Communist Party’s 100th birthday

Over 45 Soldiers of the Chinese Communist Party ‘ PLA had died in their attempt to attack the Indian Army across the LAC at Galwan Valley in Ladakh. After fircubly occupying Tibet by 1959, the Chinese first consolidated their occupation and then attacjed India in 1962 to capture parts of Ladakh. Ever since the LAC is in existance.

In 2020, the PLA once again tried to inch forward and carried out confrontation with a battalion of BIHAR Regiment of the Indian Army at Galwan Valley. The Indian Army was surprised initially and suffered casualties but they inflicted over 45 killed and around another 45 wounded on the Communists.

The Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the PLA HQ initially denied any such cadualties. Thus those who had atleast for the Party, if not for the Country, were denied even a token of rememberances. However it is difficult to hide such casualties and slowly it started coming out from various sources. Finally the PLA had to acknowledge but still they said that just a handful or precisely four casualties had occurred.

Now for the first time the Communist Party of China will be recognizing those killed in Galwan by awarding On July 1, Medals as Party member of the PLA, along with others who have made outstanding contributions and created valuable spiritual wealth. This will take place as the CPC marks its 100th founding anniversary this year.
