Media Hype Should Not Dictate India China Ties

Trash part of media in India and the Communist Party Controlled media in China both many a times try to egg on their respective Government to perform rash acts like carrying out an airstrike against on one another, China to annex and rename Arunachal or India to snatch back illegally occupied Aksai Chin from China.

Though it is apparent that some trash Indian editors are clearly inspired by some of the Western Countries. Still no one can imagine that a newspaper editorial can suggest to the Indian government to carry out a declaration of war.

Why is this media so furious? Has China invaded Indian soil? No. However as per Chinese media, the Indian media’s outrage against China is exactly what some of the Western Countries are delighted to see. Remotely controlling the situation in Asia, and stirring up trouble between China and its neighboring countries.

Though problem did not start from China’s claim on Arunachal or Askai Chin or Sikkim. It all started from China’s opposition to listing Masood Azhar as a global terrorist in the UN, which was vetoed by China. This was a direct support to the bastion of Terrorism that is Pakistan.
Naturally all Indians are furious and India too can reciprocate the Chinese behaviour by arming the Tibetan Freedom Fighters and also developing military relations with Taiwan, a nation that is under perpetual threat of invasion by its giant neighbour.

Though hyping such sentiments in both the Countries will inevitably plunge China-India relations. In case China decides to support and protect international terrorism then it must be prepared for non cooperation from India in bilateral and international fields.

China supporting Azhar Masood is obviously quite irrational since China too will one day suffer the same fate in Xinjiang.

China should not live in a dream world that it is stronger than India economically and/ or militarily, it is not. India till date has displayed a restrained attitude and is promoting cooperation and mutual trust with China and expects reciprocal action on basis of equality.

Unlike yesteryears, the Modi administration is not going to offer the other cheek to receive slaps, it will Balakote the Culprit. Today’s China-India ties have improved a lot on basis of equality.

It benefits both sides’ development. But the latest action on Masood by China could drag ties back to the state of confrontation but China should make no mistake …..unlike 1960s, India is fully ready this time.

The US has now introduced a resolution in the UN Security Council to get Azhar listed as a terrorist, a move to strengthen International fight against Terrorism.

Beijing has failed to realize this resolve of India and nearly all the countries of the World. Pakistan has been isolated and China needs to realize this.

Setting aside the facts over the Azhar case – whether China really understands how terrorism works, it should know that now New Delhi will not provide any proof to any one but will take all action to defend its interests and that includes hitting hard at even the supporters of terrorists.

It is important to mention here the veiled threat by State controlled Chinese media by recalling the border war in the 1960s and stating that history will repeat itself like when former Indian prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru ordered the adoption of the Forward Policy to expand control over the disputed territory? What about the consequences?
We Indians will only say that China should recall what happened in 1967 in Nathu La and be prepared to vacate Tibet this time.

For whatever reason, media in both the countries should not make such irresponsible and irrational remarks. Differences do exist between China and India. But major progress has also been made, thanks to years of efforts from the two governments.
