After Mersal New Film From South Takes A Dig At GST

It seems like its raining controversy after controversy from south Indian film industry. If Mersal was not enough a new film called ‘Kee’ has now taken a dig at Goods and Service taxes (GST) implemented by government of Honourable Shri Narendra Modi the Prime Minister of India.

KEE film is a south Indian film which is helmed by RJ BALAJI and according to him he shot for this GST dig portion much before Mersal although the movie will release after Vijay Joseph’s highly acclaimed box office hit Mersal.

In an interview to Scroll, RJ Balaji says their decision to go ahead with the promo was an attempt to send out a message.

“This scene in which I speak about GST is one that we dubbed much before the Mersal controversy. But we wanted to release the scene as a promo now because we wanted to send a message. If you think you can stop one film from talking about issues, there will be many others that will speak up. You can’t stop people from speaking their minds or expressing themselves. We wanted to make a statement that we are not scared and we are not going to stop expressing ourselves,” said Balaji.

Lets see how this one goes because after Mersal episode a lot of flak has been faced by the lead actor of the film Vijay Joseph. BJP even wanted him to apologise and few law students were ready to give the actor 1 crore if he proved that GST in Singapore is better to India or does not exists as portrayed in the film.
