No more train delays! Indian Railways to build rail flyovers near 250 stations.

Indian Railways is set to build rail flyovers for passengers’ convenience!
Commuters travelling to New Delhi Railway station (NDLS) have often experienced trains stopping at Tilak Bridge Railway Station and waiting for green signal. Passengers travelling in premium trains like Rajdhani Express and Shatabdi Express have also felt the same experience.
However, soon there will be no more annoying delays as rail flyovers that will help the train reach the platform directly are expected to come up at 250 busy railway junctions across India, according to an HT report.
Indian Railways has identified the locations for these rail flyovers and the process will start soon, according to the report. Approaches of several busy railway stations across the country have only two rail tracks.
The new rail flyovers will be constructed to avoid surface crossing on approaches of the stations and are expected to help in reducing detentions. These rail flyovers will also remove bottlenecks.
With an aim to make the movement of trains in India faster, Indian Railways is also mulling to increase the speed of the trains at crossovers from existing 15 km per hour to 30 km per hour. However, this change will require transformation in the signalling process, Railways Board Chairman VK Yadav was quoted as saying.
Earlier in 2017, Indian Railways decided to build a 10.978 km-long rail flyover at Etawah in Uttar Pradesh. Indian Railways then said that this flyover at Etawah would help in improving punctuality of passenger trains and smooth running of the routes such as Howrah- Kanpur-New Delhi, Etawah –Bhind and Agra and Etawah- Mainpuri. The total cost of the project was estimated at Rs 894.47 crore and is scheduled to be completed by 2020-21.
