NOTAM issued by Indian Navy for missile test firing
Indian Navy has issued a NOTAM for test firing of a missile from a Naval Ship in te Bay of Bengal. The firing will be carried out between 24-01-2024 and 25-01-2024 and the range given is of 900kms in the notified direction.
This has created a suspense internationally among Strategic Experts. Presently non of the conventional surface to surface missiles deployed by the Indian Navy have this 900 kms range.
This is a very long range for any of India’s existing missiles. Hence it is being speculated that perhaps it is the BrahMos-Extended Range missile or may be something entirely new.
USA, Russia and China and Japan all four must be holding back their breath. Friends like France and Israel must be cheering. While Pakistan must be Shivering and Others like Iran, Britain, Germany and Australia wondering.
