Pakistan Whines Futile ‘CONCERN’ Over J&K Once Again
The Foreign Office spokesperson expressed serious concern over reports of Indian government’s purported plan to effect new “administrative and demographic changes” to occupied Kashmir
On August 5, 2019, the Indian Parliament revoked the special status of jammu and Kashmir which had been provisioned as a temporary Constitutional measure at the time of merger in 1947. The semi-autonomy provided had lived out its utility and was proving to be a big hindrance to the economic development of the State. It was also helping Pakistan in its nefarious activities of promoting separatism in the Kashmir Valley. Thus the temporary measure which had continued for nearly seven decades due to default was removed in one stroke.
By repealing Article 370 of the constitution, the entire Kashmir, Jammu and Ladhak got fully integrated with the rest of the Union. Now Developmental Firms from the rest of India could acquire property and carry out economic development. The same right Kashmiris too had already been given earlier as Citizens of India.
Pakistan which has been left hanging in mid air after India re organized the erstwhile State into two Union Territories has once again expressed annoying comments over reports of Indian government’s plans to carry out new administrative changes in the UT of J& K.
Though Pakistan has no business to make any comments on internal administrative affairs of India, it has once again done the same. Imagine Commenting on reports of possible “further division, bifurcation and demographic changes in Jammu & Kashmir” their Foreign Office spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri helped “no new instrument of occupation shall have any legal effect.” As if he as their territory.
The statement comes after a meeting between Lieutenant-Governor of J& K Shri Manoj Sinha and Home Minister Amit Shah and other officials in New Delhi today. News are making rounds about possible new administrative and political changes in occupied Kashmir as reportedly discussed during the meeting.
Poking his nose yet again to such reports, the FO howled once again that India’s unilateral and illegal actions in occupied Kashmir violated international law ……which International law and backed by whom was not specified. He also talked about certain resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, which he has not read and doesn’t know that it has bearing only on the status of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and Chinese Occupied Ladhak. They must be returned back to India forthwith or India will take it back by Force if required but at a time of its own choosing.
“India cannot change the disputed status of [occupied Kashmir], as enshrined in the UNSC resolutions, nor can it force Kashmiris and Pakistan to accept illegal outcomes,” it stressed. The joker can keep barking. J& K is integral part of India ( including POK and COL ) and no force on this earth can have it separated from India.
The statement added: “ Kashmir is an internationally recognised disputed territory and Pakistan will continue to resolutely oppose Indian attempts to change the demographic structure and final status of [IoK].”……
Pakistan also asked India to halt and reverse its “unlawful and destabilising actions”, ensure full compliance with the UNSC resolutions, and refrain from any further steps that might imperil regional peace and security in South Asia.
“We call upon the international community, including the United Nations, world parliaments, international human rights and humanitarian organisations and global media to take immediate cognisance of the situation. India must be stopped from any further illegal action in the occupied territory,” the FO statement said.
It also said Pakistan remained firm in its commitment to provide all possible support to the people of occupied Kashmir for realisation of their right to self-determination. “Pakistan also reaffirms its commitment to a peaceful solution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people,” it added.
The above has now become an international joke repeated periodically by Pakistan.Government of India should now start thinking of de recognizing the Radcliffe Line itself.
