PLA Physical Training In High-Altitude Cold Environment : Indian Army Remains Unimpressed
Dated : 31 Dec 2020 (IST)
Border soldiers stationed at Bedel Pass in Northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region have daily exercise in an indoor gym. By contrast Indian Army men go out for daily runs at over 3000m.
The border station near Bedel Pass is at an elevation of 3,160 meters with high winds blowing across the year and heavy snows in chilly winter. Indian Army has been stationed in such conditions all along and remains fighting fit.
In order to conduct daily exercise, the border station built a 600-square-meter indoor fitness center with all machines needed and heating systems to keep the temperature at 20 C. Indian Army does daily routine morning PT at less than 10°C.
Border soldiers now combine indoor and outdoor exercise to maintain physical fitness. Entire Himalayan Frontier is exercise area for Indian Army.
So here are PLA propaganda pictures for carrying out psy warfare but a total waste as far as Indian Army is concerned.
