Positive results from shift to national currencies in payments for Indo Russian Trade

The Russian side expects positive results from the shift to national currencies in payments with India, Ambassador to New Delhi Denis Alipov said in an interview aired by the Rossiya-24 TV news channel on Friday.
“There will definitely be both decisions and positive results. As I said, the mechanism (shift to national currencies in payments with India) has been created,” he said.
The diplomat also expressed confidence that the mechanism of settlements in national currencies with India will be launched “as all related problems have been solved.”
Earlier, Alipov said in an interview that Moscow and New Delhi were setting up mutual payments being shifted to national currencies, as well as optimizing supply routes, amid the anti-Russia sanctions imposed by Western countries.
