Prague New Delhi Relations certainly to Nose Dive for extraditing detained Indian to USA

Gupta was detained at Prague airport on June 30, 2023, under extradition orders issued by the US Justice Department

The Czech constitutional court on Wednesday has allowed the extradition of an Indian citizen who has been falsely accused by American agencies for involvement in an alleged plot to kill an American Sikh terrorist, on American soil.

The US Justice Department last November had charged the Indian citizen Nikhil Gupta with plotting to assassinate the American Sikh terrorist leader on US soil. American Intelligence outfits have very cleverly insinuated that an Indian government official was also involved in planning the plot to kill this terrorist who is a US citizen and carries out his activities to encourage separatism in State of Punjab in India, all from USA and Canada.

The Czech top court on Wednesday rejected Gupta’s appeal against verdicts passed by lower-instance courts approving his extradition. The extradition has yet to be approved by the Czech justice minister.

Gupta was detained at Prague airport on June 30, 2023, under extradition orders issued by the US Justice Department. This act of Prague has certainly dented the friendly relations it had with New Delhi since the days of Soviet Union. The USA Justice Department bias is clear when it desribes this terrorist ( designated as such through due process of law ) allegedly targeted in the killing “is a vocal critic of the Indian government and leads a US-based organisation that advocates for the secession of Punjab,” a northern Indian state with a large population of Sikhs. Well how would USA Justice Department react if someone encourages secession of Texas from the United States Union ?

India’s foreign ministry said earlier it had set up a “high-level” inquiry committee to look into the case.
