Return of BJP will make India stronger : PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi invoked former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee and veteran leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) LK Advani to assert that the return of the BJP government in the Lok Sabha election will make India stronger. Modi said this today on the foundation day of the party while addressing a rally at Sundergarh in Odisha.
The Prime Minister said that the BJP was founded 39 years ago on this day with a commitment. Vajpayee used to say that a BJP worker should have one foot in rail and one in jail for the progress of the party and the country and today the party has provided an alternative to the Congress for the country.
Modi also expressed gratitude to Lk Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi among other party leaders. Both the leaders Advani and Joshi have not been fielded in the Lok Sabha elections and according to reports, the two leaders were not happy with the manner in which the party leadership took the decision to deny them the poll ticket.
The PM also referred to a strike carried out by the Indian Air Force at a terror camp in Balakot in Pakistan which came after the Pulwama terror attack where more than 40 CRPF jawans have been martyred.
He also reiterated about the surgical strike by the special commandos in 2016 to support his government’s claim of taking decisive action against terrorism unlike the previous governments. The surgical strike was carried out after the terror attack at Uri base camp of the Indian Army.
He further said that India now enters the home of terrorists and eliminate them adding that no one could think of a surgical strike earlier although there were governments and no one even thinks of crossing the borders to strike at terrorists.
He further asked the crowd should not there be a strong BJP for a strong India and also asked the party workers to put everything during the times of polls.
The Prime Minister also targeted both the Congress and the ruling party in Odisha Biju Janata Dal (BJD) saying that these two parties were responsible for the backwardness of the state but the state is not exactly backward.
He also said that people are very hardworking here but the parties that have ruled the state have not done justice to the people.
