During the conversation they “positively assessed the joint work within OPEC+,” aimed at ensuring the stability of the global oil market

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud have touched upon Ukraine, Yemen and bilateral cooperation, and have hailed the work within the OPEC+ group, the Kremlin said in a statement on Saturday after their phone conversation, requested by Saudi Arabia.

“They touched upon some pressing issues of bilateral cooperation, including in the trade and economic area. They expressed their mutual willingness to develop mutually beneficial ties between Russia and Saudi Arabia in the future,” the statement said.

During the conversation they “positively assessed the joint work within OPEC+,” aimed at ensuring the stability of the global oil market.

The Kremlin reported that the Russian president and the Saudi crown prince “exchanged views on some international issues, including the situation in Ukraine and the settlement in Yemen.”

“Vladimir Putin congratulated the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia on the Muslim holy month of Ramadan,” the press service said.

The sides agreed to maintain contacts at various levels.

The previous phone conversation between Putin and Saudi Arabia’s crown prince took place on March 3.
