SBI adds new feature to its ATM Card, no longer any fraud

SBI, the country’s hottest bank, has introduced a new security feature in its ATM debit card to secure cash withdrawal at ATMs. After this feature, the chances of fraud with ATM cards can be completely eliminated.

This is the new feature

With this new feature, ATM card holders will be able to block all transactions on their cards through SMS only. No one will be able to make fraud transactions if the card is lost. In addition, the card can also be blocked by calling customer care, net banking or SBI Quick app.

How to use the feature?

To use this service, SBI customers will have to send an SMS from their mobile phone number which is registered with the bank. If you have not registered a mobile number with the bank, register with <REG><space> Your account number by SMS on 092234888888.

Talking about the new security feature, the bank tweeted, “Introducing a new feature to protect our customers. Now every time we receive a request for #BalanceEnquiry or #MiniStatement through atms, we will alert our customers by sending SMS. So that if they don’t start transactions, their #DebitCard can be blocked immediately.”

The SMS option comes with many benefits, allowing customers to receive their bank account balance, mini statement or request for cheque book using this option, last six months account details, home loan and education interest certificate etc.
