On February 7, President Trump revoked his predecessor Joe Biden’s security clearances, remarking “Joe, you’re fired.” He has now also revoked ex-Secretary of State Antony Blinken and former US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s security clearances, Reuters reported citing sources in the White House.

The move came a day after Trump said he had revoked the security clearance for his predecessor Joe Biden, stopping his access to daily intelligence briefings.

“The decision on Blinken was made over his involvement in the campaign falsely claiming that Russia was involved in the case about Hunter Biden’s laptop which contained correspondence revealing Biden’s son was trying to use his father’s position for personal business gain as well as a number of photos and videos of Biden Jr.’s drug use.
