Senior US diplomat Need to be given Training In Diplomacy by India
As per Reuter news some senior U.S. diplomat will travel to India in the coming days and engage with its civil society over “free speech and marginalization of minorities”( the American Variety ). Some Americans officials acting most undiplomatically and nearly clownish have the gumption to utter that this visit is happening for questioning India over certain social issues. Probably they are chaffing that the Indian officials had dealt bluntly with American officials when they tried to raise the issue of religious minorities in India.
These people manning the American Admiration are either too full of Superiority Complex or pure nut cases. They have still not learnt that Indians are just not impressed with the American Variety of “ democracy “ and the American habit of trying to impose their way of thinking on others.
Going by Reuter news, Uzra Zeya, U.S. under secretary of state for democracy and human rights, should not be permitted to have any official meeting, in case she tries to raise issues which is none of their business. She can meet with Indian government officials to discuss “global challenges, democracy, regional stability, and cooperation on humanitarian relief.” However she better not open her mouth on anything to support any of the American activists.
Zeya’s upcoming trip follows a June visit by Modi to the United States, where Joe Biden rolled the red carpet for him. Some American activists instead of agitating over numerous ongoing random killings in their own country, the human rights abuse heaped on Blacks and Hispanics, fighting for Rights for Abortion for their women decried what they saw as a deterioration of human rights in India. No wonder a much wiser Biden just ignored them and concentrated instead on improving bilateral relationship with India.
The Western Press nowadays demonstrates a nasty habit of using “ adjectives” to decried the India way ……so we too will payback by reporting “Biden the White Christian President of USA said he discussed human rights with Modi but he did not publicly criticize Modi, his Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ( as if Democrats of USA are anti nationals !!!!) or India’s government on the topic. “
Zeya will also visit Bangladesh on her trip from July 8 to July 14.
“In both countries, Under Secretary Zeya will engage with civil society organizations on freedom of expression and association, and inclusion of women and girls, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable groups, including marginalized religious and ethnic minorities,” the State Department said. Well Zeya can do what she likes in Bangladesh but in India she better not open her trap to lecture us. We can lecture her 10 times more for all the undemocratic things happening in the USA.
The State Department may have developed a habit of raising occasional concern over human rights in India but now they better desist as India too will reciprocate in equal measures. Uncalled for criticism of India by the U.S. will only jeopardize close ties between the countries.
In fact it is high time that India too should start yearly on Human Rights and religious freedom, in USA, UK, Canada and such other countries. India too should raise concerns over treatment of Red Indians, Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Arabs, and various religious minorities in USA while also noting abuse of prisoners in Guantanmo bay, civil prisons in USA, abuse of those advocating Gun Control laws and fighting for Abortion rights for American Women.
Imagine when USA doesn’t even issue a tourist visa without profiling and interviews, commenting on Indian Citizenship LAWS as discriminatory? Why doesn’t it open its borders for all and sundry from Cuba and Mexico and the Middle East?
Yes in India we do have the freedom of right to belief but no one is permitted to convert others to their beliefs under any pretext …..the days of British Raj are ove. Also we will not permit any one to interfere in our internal matters. The Special given to State of J& K was for a temporary basis wasdone by the Indian Parliament when it thought it was a fit thing. The Parliament has now removed it. US Senators and Congressmen better not comment on this. How will they react if Indian MPs start enacting laws on USA.
