Prashant Patel is an advocate practicing at Supreme Court and Delhi High Court, public speaker, writer and a Social Activist. He has been fighting against corruption and is instrumental in raising various social issues that have an impact on society through legal ways. According to Prashant Umrao, Rajdeep Sardesai incited violence against HINDUS in Assam.
For doing this, Senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai has filed a police complaint against Prashant P Umrao, the lawyer who shot to fame over the case of the disqualification of Aam Aadmi Party MLAs in Delhi. Sardesai filed the complaint alleging that Umrao has been spreading fake news on social media.
Sardesai filed the complaint against a tweet dated July 28, 2012 in which Umrao had attributed a quote to the senior journalist, alleging that he had called for “killing 1,000 Hindus”.
Earlier, Prashant Umrao also exposed Rajdeep Sardesai for running a fake story on medical as it was alleged by Prashant that Rajdeep did it intentionally as his son didn’t get the admission in the medical colleges in Goa. Prashant said:

Petition against 21 AAP MLA’s holding an ‘Office of Profit’ :
Prashant had filed a petition to President of India, requesting him to disqualify 21 Aam Aadmi Party MLA’s as they were appointed Parliamentary Secretaries. After this Delhi Government had passed a bill in assembly to keep away Parliamentary Secretary post from Office of Profit, but Lt. Governor refused to sign the bill as it was totally unconstitutional. Election Commission of India had issued notice to the accused MLA’s on 16th March 2016 for holding OoP. After 3 long years of hearing at Election Commission where Prashant Patel argued against these MLAs, and rejoinders were filed. After the completion of entire procedure, recommendation to disqualify these AAP MLAs was sent to the President on 19th January 2018. The President accepted the recommendation & ordered to disqualify all these 20 MLAs on 21st January 2018.

Case Against film PK :
Prashant was the first person who lodged FIR against Bollywood film PK for its controversial portrayal of Hindu Gods and exposed its links with Pakistan. After his complaint against Leela Samson (Censor Board Chief) to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, she was dismissed from her post.
Petition in JNU Matter :
Prashant has actively participated in JNU matter by filing various petitions in SC and Delhi HC opposing bail of accused having sedition charges.
AMU Food Matter For Non-Muslim Students :
There was 96 year old tradition in Aligarh Muslim University of not serving breakfast and lunch to non-muslims during Ramadan. Prashant Patel raised his voice against this tradition through social and mass media, after this AMU was forced to stop this tradition and now food is being served to non-muslim students.
RSTV SCAM :
When Nation was shocked to hear the so-called victimization of muslims by outgoing VP, Hamid Ansari , it was Prashant who revealed the real reason for his desperation.Using Twitter as a platform Prashant exposed the RSTV scams during Ansari’s tenure wherein various non-deserving left-aligned journo were appointed with hefty pay packages. He also revealed that a film was produced from RSTV’s money. Media took cognizance of his expose and ran a story on it. Also after Venkaiah Naidu took Charge of VP, many Pakistan sympathisers & CEO were removed from RSTV.
Expose of Media’s ‘Hero’ :
The Gorakhpur Tragedy shocked the whole nation. Going by its muslim-loving tradition, media without any factcheck was busy making Dr.Kafeel Khan the main ‘Felon’ of the children’s deaths as ‘Hero’. Prashant exposed the real culprits on social media. This led the media to do some factcheck. Soon real story was let out. Later Rajeev Misra, the Principal of BRD College; His wife Poornima Shukla both of whom had earlier been debunked by him were arrested. Also Dr. Kafeel Khan who was absconding was handcuffed by Police on Eid.
