Tax Officials raid BBC offices For Violations, Indians Not Bothered About the Freedom Index of Presstitutes

BBC thinking of itself as the big Grizzly Bear whom Indian authorities will not dare to touch no matter what they do had the shock of their lives. Till date the Tax authorities were not going after BBC for various violations as they had bigger crocodiles to hunt. However while BBC kept showing their contempt for Indian tax laws, they thought that in the name of “Freedom of Speech “ they could do any thing to hurt India’s polity and get away.

So they produced a Documentary on an incident more than 20 years old and aired the deliberately biased and polarizing documentary, re examining the then Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s otherwise excellent handling of the Gujarat Riots in wake of Godhara massacre. The documentary went on to give a biased view on the rise of Modi to the Prime Ministership of India.

Probably as a part of the GREAT GAME which the Deep State in a Brexit Britain still likes to play, the biased broadcaster knowingly revisited the story of the 2002 riots this year — as India enters a highly charged election cycle. In doing this they have also shown total disrespect for the Indian Judiciary.

The Chief Minister who had just taken over the office had certainly handled the riots in most admirable biased free manner which had been 1000 times superior than what the British Governor of Bengal Sir Frederick Burrows had done or for that matter what the Viceroy Lord Wavell had done during the Calcutta Riots of August 1946. More than 4000 people mostly Hindus had been killed in those riots.

Well BBC should have re visited the DIRECT ACTION DAY RIOTS of 16 Aug 1946.

The Congress Party which came to power at the Centre in 2004 left no stone unturned to Charge the Chief Minister of abetting the incident. The Gujarat state leader was totally cleared in 2013 by the Courts of all the trumped up charges. The sectarian conflict in 2002 — which ended with more than 1,000 people, mostly Muslims, dead — began after a train full of Hindus was attacked, by Muslims, triggering Hindu mobs to seek revenge.

Before 2002 the State of Gujarat ruled mostly by Congress Party had been witnessing Sectarian riots every few years. However it is a fact that as the new Chief Minister Modi ensured that there were no further riots in the State till he remained the CM up to May 2014. There have been no riots till date.

The BBC explaining about its utterly biased documentary said it had obtained previously unreported British diplomatic cables from 2002 that concluded the mob violence was pre planned by Hindu nationalist groups “under the protection of the state government.” They further added that the company has stood by the two-part series, calling it “rigorously researched.” Well this the kind of research the great diplomats of COMPANY BAHADURS too used to carry out to seize territories of small kingdoms in India.

This is certainly a part of the GREAT GAME trick and also a blatant example of the GORA IMPERIAL FIRMAN….what the Humpheries concluded was RIGHT for the BBC to broadcast thus nakedly insinuating that the India Judiciary is corrupt and functions as per the whims and fancies of the Government.

Well the days are over when Indian Government and people of India are going to tolerate such naked shameless aggression against the Institutions of our Country. Now India will hit back, below the belt too if required. Why Does not BBC do full research into the mass murder of people of Bengal carried out by that PM of Britain Winston Churchill.

A proper documentary is required to be made on the BRITISH CREATED FAMINE OF BENGAL in 1943 in which Churchill planned and ensured killing of nearly 40 lakhs Bengalis. In comparison Hitler had been responsible for the death of 60 lakhs Jews.

It had become a well known fact that quite a few NGOs were being funded by foreign entities for the purpose of controlling the Indian Institutions and for destabilizing the Indian polity. So through stringent application FEMA and such other rules such NGOs have been made to obey the Laws of the land. Entities like BBC carrying out minor Violations were just being ignored till now.

Now when BBC has tried to play the GREAT GAME, Indian authorities too have joined in to defend Indian Goal Post. So Indian tax authorities raided the BBC’s offices and seized its journalists’ phones in a stunning( to the Western World ) — and surely a retaliatory — move against the British broadcaster.

Remember when Devyani Khobragade, a diplomat at the Indian consulate in New York, who was arrested on December 12, in 2013, immediately after she had dropped off her children at their school. She was charged with providing false information in the visa application for a domestic help she was bringing from India.

Initially American authorities were not ready to even listen but when New Delhi too came down heavily on the American Embassy for various minor violations of Indian laws, they came to their senses forthwith. Ever since both sides have been living happily.

Media outlets have reported that more than 50 Indian tax officials raided the BBC’s offices in New Delhi and Mumbai around noon. Two BBC journalists in New Delhi, speaking on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly (by BBC bosses) said their colleagues’ phones were being confiscated. Naturally for obtaining evidences.

In response the BBC said it was “fully cooperating” with the tax authorities in its New Delhi and Mumbai offices. “We hope to have this situation resolved as soon as possible.”

Investigators were still inside the New Delhi office on Wednesday morning, nearly 24 hours after the raid, said a BBC journalist.

Yes the raid has naturally taken place after the Modi government took measures to censor the highly biased and motivated BBC documentary “India: The Modi Question,” a BBC film that deliberately resurfaced decades-old allegations that Modi failed to stop a bloody riot in Gujarat state while he served as chief minister in 2002.

Very foolishly but not surprisingly the Press Club of India issued a statement defending the BBC The BBC searches “are part of a series of attacks on the media by government agencies in recent times, especially against those sections of the media that the government perceives is hostile to it and critical of the ruling establishment. ”

“It is deeply unfortunate as this latest instance appears to be a clear cut case of vendetta, coming within weeks of a documentary aired by the BBC. … We are deeply concerned and distressed that such an action on an international broadcasting network will damage the reputation and image of India as the largest democracy in the world.”

Well once the evidence of tax evasion and violation of FEMA comes out then we will see as whose reputation has been damaged. Meanwhile we wish to know, how many times the Press Club of India has issued statements on the imprisonment of Julian Paul Assange. Has the BBC researched and made a documentary on Assange and the USA using its might to get him extradited ?

After the BBC documentary aired in Britain on Jan. 17, Indian Govt naturally reacted out at the BBC for producing the highly motivated but well timed propaganda. Then as per the laws of the land forced the social media companies to remove links to the biased BBC’s videos. Even police had to be deployed at places where student protesters of JNU variety had tried to create riots.

As the raid unfolded, several members of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have put forward the idea that the BBC may be receiving inappropriate funding from China. Its highly plausible as there are Chinese supporters existing in the Indian media too. Also BBC has a history when it had gone against the British Govt itself during the Falklands / Malvina war.

Apart from tax irregularities which will be presented by the Tax Authorities before the Court ( certainly not to the Media ), politicians have listed out grievances with the broadcaster’s journalism and its alleged bias.

“It would not be wrong to say that it is the most corrupt and ridiculous corporation in the world. … BBC has had a dark history tainted by its hatred-fueled work against India,” Gaurav Bhatia, a BJP spokesman, told reporters at a news conference. “Our constitution allows them to do unbiased journalism, but let me show you how they use journalism as a pretext to put forward their agenda.”

Media outlets that “have a hidden agenda” and “spew venom” cannot be tolerated in the country, Bhatia added.

Surabhi Ahluwalia, spokeswoman for the income tax department, said she could not confirm the details of the tax probe when reached on Tuesday. The BBC “is an international organization that is dealing with international finances, so it could have to do with international finances issues that have cropped up,” she said.

An article in the Washington Post has insinuated that raids on BBC has come at a time when the Indian government has been on the defensive over the Gujrati billionaire Gautam Adani, who has been accused of fraud by a U.S. hedge fund and has suffered a steep stock sell-off. The Washington Post clearly showed that it was no better than a tabloid when in the article it tried to link Adani to Narendra Modi who too is a Gujrati. The article goes on to say that a New Delhi Television network, known for its independent reporting, was also investigated over alleged financial malfeasance in 2017. Though it failed to add that it was very well known in India that the said TV channel was totally corrupt and that now the owners are facing the Courts for their omissions and commissions.

The Washington Post also brought out that in 2021, tax authorities had raided the offices of the Dainik Bhaskar newspaper group after the Hindi-language broadsheet repeatedly challenged the government narrative about its successful handling of the coronavirus pandemic, reported on corpses floating in the Ganges River and published front-page photos of crowded funeral pyres. Well isn’t Washington Post and whole of America seen for itself that how Modi handled the Corona epidemic and how Biden handled the same and who has been more successful.

Well, if your Hindenburg has links with people in India and has violated our laws, then rest be assured the Indian authorities will be looking into that also. Then we Indians will love to read your Post ( which presently is not read by even 0. 001% of Indians ). Incidentally we are fully aware of the 2022 edition of the so called annual press freedom index published by Reporters Without Borders, India fell to 150th place out of 180 countries. Are we bothered by such trash…certainly not. Who carry out such research….how many Indians out of 1400 million do they interview for such things ?

In recent weeks, many supporters of the ruling BJP have lashed out against the BBC. Political organizations have various hues have petitioned the courts to ban the BBC, while other pro-government outlets, including Republic TV, have circulated claims that the British broadcaster is an agent of the Chinese Communist Party.

“I certainly believe there is a Chinese hand behind it. The BBC made no disclosure about this,” Mahesh Jethmalani, a BJP member of Parliament, said Jan. 31 during an interview on India Today television channel. “There has been both overt and insidious anti-Indian propaganda by the BBC for a long time, and enough is enough.”

The opposition Congress Party has as usual condemned the move against the BBC, with one member of Parliament calling it “imbecile, childish & beyond even silly,” in a tweet. India is “telling the world that rather than an emerging great power we are an insecure power. Whichever bright spark thought this one up is [the prime minister’s] worst enemy,” said Manish Tewari, a former minister of information. Now the calibre of this Congressman is well Indians.

Gone are the days when BBC was greatly respected in India. We truly miss people like Mark Tully.
