Trump better not bash his head against BRICS, he will break his nut
Donald Trump has quacked at BRICS nations and the noise sounds like a warning to BRICS nations.
Trump seems to be threatening to impose 100% tariffs if BRICS pursue plans to replace the U.S. dollar as the dominant global currency.
In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump demanded that these countries commit to not creating a new BRICS currency or supporting any alternative currency that could undermine the U.S. dollar.
He stated, “The idea that the BRICS Countries are trying to move away from the Dollar while we stand by and watch is OVER”.
Trump needs to be encouraged to think that days of his country issuing such threats to a country like India is over.
Unfortunately for him India is a founder member of BRICS and no one, repeat no one threatens India.
In terms of GDP, the 10 nations of BRICS are now heavier than the G7 Nations led by USA. Population wise the BRICS nation far out number the G7 and geographical size wise they are no less.
So BRICS with Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Saudi Arabia,UAE, Egypt, Iran and Ethiopia are now more than a match for G7 countries with USA, Japan, France, Germany, Italy, UK and Canada in all spheres.
This Trump threat follows discussions at a recent BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, where leaders, including PM Modi, Putin, Xi and others planned ways to enhance non-dollar transactions among member nations.
This has even started happening in respective currencies for bilateral trades by India with some of the BRICS nations and even non BRICS ones.
The BRICS countries have also agreed to invite 13 more countries and give them status as BRICS Partner Status, namely, Algeria, Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Thailand, Turkey, Uganda, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
This will further empower BRICS.Thus Trump’s remarks emphasizing that any country attempting to replace the dollar would not only face tariffs but also lose access to the U.S. market is going to hurt America more including G7 Nations rather than BRICS nations.
Trump warning that such nations would need to “find another sucker” if they proceeded with their plans will actually boomerang on USA itself.
Trump is a shrewd businessman and he knows that PM Modi is more shrewder being a Gujrati. So it will be better if Trump sits down fir a Chai dhokla session and sort out his problems
