Trump’s victory, makes Yunus a ‘heavy cargo’ for Bangladesh
Immediately following ouster of Sheikh Hasina from Bangladesh, Muhammad Yunus was seen as the “saviour” by a very large number of people, who perceived that he could dramatically change Bangladesh and expedite its pace of progress and prosperity with the touch of his “wishbone” while they also believed, because of the Noble Tag of Yunus, Bangladesh will be flooded with foreign aids, investments and opportunities.
Earlier the same Yunus, had to flee Bangladesh and take refuge in France to escape from Court ordered imprisonment expressed extreme delight when Bangladesh’s Army Chief Gen Waker Uz Zaman called and requested him to take the charge of the head of interim government.
As the flight carrying Yunus touched the runway of Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA), the atmosphere there took a festive look while Yunus was accorded a heroic welcome.
What no one, including Army Chief Gen Waker realized – Muhammad Yunus was no saint or magician, and he had no experience in running a country.
They also did not realize that, unless law and order situation was restored and Yunus started preparations of holding election and hand-over power to an elected government, Bangladesh shall not get any financial assistance from anywhere.
However Soros, Bill and Hillary Clinton as well as some of the notorious officials at the US State Department, including Antony Blinken and Donald Lu of USA were against the idea of holding elections and handing over power to an elected government.
Instead, they had a plan of continuing their absolute grip over Bangladesh by prolonging the tenure of Yunus-led government indefinitely.
Meanwhile, Yunus did not factor in the American election, which was already just weeks away, when he took charge on August 8. He even did not believe; Republican Party’s candidate Donald Trump would win.
Instead, Yunus, along with Soros and the American Deep State were almost confident about a “landslide victory” of Kamala Harris.
Such perceptions or mindset encouraged Yunus in asking his friend Hillary Clinton to organize a grand reception in New York City under the banner of Clinton Global Initiative and holding private meetings with George and Alexander Soros, alongside a number of key figures of the Democratic Party, including former US ambassador to Bangladesh, Peter D. Haas.
During all of these events, Yunus proudly gave an impression about his active participation with anti-Sheikh Hasina “revolt” which resulted in murder of over three thousand members of Bangladesh Police, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and other law enforcement agencies, alongside hundreds of activists of Awami League and members of Hindu community in the country.
Although on his arrival, Yunus openly declared, he would leave Bangladesh if law and order situation was not restored and countrywide anarchy did not stop, even over three months of his assuming the office of “Chief Advisor” of the revolutionary Islamist administration, Hindu persecution, mob-justice, mass-murders, press repression, targeting political and ideological opponents of Yunus’ Islamist cronies continued, while the country fell into absolute chaos and anarchy. Despite all of these adversities, Yunus never resigned or left Bangladesh.
Instead, during his visit to the US, he proudly introduced his comrades who masterminded countrywide massive anarchy and terrorist acts that resulted in the ouster of Sheikh Hasina.
Until the evening of November 6, Muhammad Yunus and people in his inner circle were absolutely confident about a “landslide victory” of Kamala Harris.
They were even confident of Democratic Party winning a majority in the Senate and the House.
Should this expectation turned true, Yunus would be more confident than before and with direct blessings and support from Obama, Clintons and Soros, he would smoothly continue in the office for an indefinite period.
He would also totally ignore demand from political parties for holding elections and handing-over power.
Following the landslide victory of Donald Trump and the Republican Party getting majority in the Senate and Congress Yunus has become totally confused and nervous, as he is aware of Trump’s hidden anger on him for his role in 2016.
It may be mentioned here that, in 2016, when Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton, her friend and top-donor of Clinton Foundation, Muhammad Yunus strongly condemned the election result and reacted with stark disappointment, calling Trump’s victory in the US presidential election “a solar eclipse … black days”.
Yunus had expressed his view that the 2016 election “became the victim of the wrong type of politics” and advised Trump to adopt “a more generous outlook” in his role as president to “build bridges, not walls”.
During election campaign, Trump’s team came to know that Muhammad Yunus donated significant amount of money towards campaign of Hillary Clinton and subsequent anti-Trump demonstrations.
Following the formation of the revolutionary government headed by Yunus, radical Islamists and pro-Caliphate groups started intensifying their activities by flexing muscle, while leaders of Hefazat-e-Islam (HeI) openly called for slaughtering Hindus in Bangladesh.
Though India’s External Affairs Ministry expressed concern at such notoriety, it did not elaborate what actions New Delhi may take to protect Hindus in Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, people are calling upon the Indian government to immediately designate Hefazat-e-Islam as a terrorist organization.
Although following the huge victory of Donald Trump, Yunus and the members of his revolutionary government are becoming increasingly frustrated and nervous, religious bigots are continuing to intensify their anti-India and anti-Hindu activities in the country.
While Donald Trump will take oath of January 20, 2025, there are clear signals from Washington to Yunus about uncertainty of providing USAID fund as well as additional amount for “reform” plans, which became a priority for Biden administration due to consistent influence of Barack Obama, Clintons and Soros, such financial package may not get cleared by the Trump administration.
At this junction, things will become extremely difficult for Yunus while to punish the revolutionary regime in Dhaka, President (elect) Donald Trump may adopt a series of harsher measures, which would include imposition of 30-35 percent punitive tariffs on all exports from Bangladesh to the United States.
Trump also may impose sanctions targeting Yunus, key figures in his government as well as civil-military officials for “committing genocide” on Hindus and members of law enforcement agencies during anti-Hasina revolt.
There also are clear indications from Washington about the Trump administration initiating investigation into corruption and financial crimes inside the Clinton Foundation and Clinton Global Initiative.
To anti-Hasina groups and civil-military officials, while Muhammad Yunus was seen as a “great asset” before November 6 now has become a “heavy cargo”, who can be the key reason behind the series of odds and extreme challenges Dhaka would face both from the Trump administration and India.
Bangladesh’s already struggling economy shall face unimaginable consequences if President Trump imposes a 30-35 percent tariff on all exports from Bangladesh just to give a befitting lesson to friend of Clintons and Trump-hater Yunus.
The above write up is about trump’s action. The radicals in Bangladesh must dread the Indian action which will follow at appropriate time.
