Now two years after the abrogation of the outdated Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, It is quite evident that people of Jammu and Kashmir are now very happy and getting on with their daily lives. The despicable separatists of Hurriyat, who had been living off the people have now been totally marginalized.
However the fossilized leadership of the Separatists are unable to reconcile with the reality of a rising India. Their statement as given reveals their mind set “Engage with those who truly represent the political will and aspirations of its peoples, and diffuse the building geopolitical pressures in the region along its northern and western borders. APHC urges the government of India to resume engagement with the Government of Pakistan,” the statement said.
They should know that gone are the days when other countries could pressurize India. No power including USA and China can now pressurize India over anything. jammu & Kashmir is an integral part of India and now will function like any other State / Union Territory of India. Only unfinished agenda for India is the taking back of Pakistan Occupied Areas of erstwhile Poonch District, Baramula district and Gilgit Baltistan including Shakshagam valley.
So when All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Thursday, on the second anniversary of the nullification of Article 370, said that the move has further complicated the issue of Jammu and Kashmir, he is way off. There are no complications left. Sooner they realize this, better it will be for them and their families.
In a statement, APHC reiterated its opposition to what it said were “unilateral and arbitrary actions”. “APHC on this occasion would also like to draw the attention of the citizens of India and the world at large, that the present Indian government’s actions of August 5,2019 has only complicated the dispute further over the state of J&K,” the Hurriyat said. Rather Hurriyat should realize that not only the people of rest of India have welcomed the move of abrogation but even the locals Indians of Kashmir, Jammu and Ladhak.
The Hurriyat still think that abrogation ignited the flames along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). They should be aware that massive retaliation has resulted in Pakistan begging for a Ceasefire. In fact now they know that any major terrorist action will invite deep strikes even in Pakistan territory.
It said APHC has had a long-standing policy of engagement in meaningful dialogue among all the stakeholders that sees the situation on the ground for what it is, and encourages dialogue rather than armed confrontation. Hurriyat should know that as far as India is concerned, PAKISTAN is not a stakeholder in deciding any thing in J& K or Ladhak. Only the people of India will decide whatever is required to be done.
All separatists and mischief makers will be dealt strictly as per law. Foreign Terrorists will be hunted down and eliminated. Local terrorist if any, misguided by the Separatists will be given a chance to surrender and join the main stream.
