Yadav said big names will come out when new govt probes the matter

Senior Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav on Thursday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of perpetrating the Pulwama terror attack for votes. He said the Modi government “killed” security personnel to serve its political interests.

According to news agency, Ram Gopal Yadav said paramilitary forces are unhappy with PM Modi.

“Paramilitary forces dukhi hain sarkar se. Jawan maar diye gaye vote ke liye (Paramilitary jawans are unhappy with the government. Jawans were killed for votes),” he was quoted as saying by news agency.

The Samajwadi Party leader’s comment was in reference to the Pulwama terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir where 40 CRPF jawans were killed in a suicide attack on February 14.

Speaking about the attack, Ram Gopal Yadav said: “Checking nahi thi Jammu-Srinagar ke beech mein jawano ko simple buses main bhej diyaye saish hai (There was no security check between Jammu and Srinagar. The jawans were sent in simple buses. This was a conspiracy).”

He said he will not talk further about this (conspiracy). “Jab sarkar badlegi, iski jaanch hogi. Tab bade bade log phasenge (Once there is a new government, we will get this investigated. Many big names will come out).”

Meanwhile, reacting to Ram Gopal Yadav’s comments, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath demanded an apology.

“This is an attempt to demoralize security forces, He [Yadav] must appologise,” Yogi Adityanath said.

He said Ram Gopal Yadav’s comment is “a big example of dirty politics”. “He has questioned the sacrifices made by CRPF jawans. He must appologise for this comment that can weaken the morale of jawans.”
