Yunus dreams extradition of PM Sheikh Hasina Back from India
Daydreaming Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor of the so called Bangladesh Government has already announced his plans to seek the extradition of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from India.
Sheikh Hasina had never resigned her premiership and was thus illegally ousted from power amid widespread planned riots related to a quota reform campaign of the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement, hijacked by radical Islamists.
Following the planned riots, which resulted in significant violence and loss of life, Hasina was forced to escape to India seeking refuge.
In a televised address marking the 100th day of his illegal interim administration, Yunus emphasized the radicals commitment to ensuring justice for the victims of the July-August protests, which he described as “crimes against humanity and genocide.”…..the crime in reality carried out in most planned manner by Islamist radicals. Yunus stated that efforts to “prosecute “ those responsible for the violence are underway and confirmed that over 60 cases have been filed against Prime Minister Hasina and her party members for their roles in the crackdown on dissent.
Yunus indicated that a Red Notice would be issued through Interpol to facilitate Hasina’s return to Bangladesh for trial…..as if India will agree to this kind of blatant action against a friendly political leader who was duly elected by people of Bangladesh.
The illegal interim government has itself reported at least 753 deaths and thousands of injuries during the riots carried out by Islamist jihjihadis.
This highlights the severity of the situation in secular Bangladesh which till now was quite secular. Yunus asserted that no matter where fugitives are hiding, they will be brought back to face accountability in court.
This move marks a significant escalation in Bangladesh’s political turmoil and underscores the ongoing tensions between the current administration and PM Hasina’s Awami League party.
However Yunus and his supporters must remember that during 1971 India had taken resolute action in its national interest and also to save the Bengalis.
It will again do so incase its national interests are threatened once again and also to save te Hindus and other minorities of Bangladesh.
